what/who?
(what is this all about and who runs it)
this site is dedicated to the work of Boston MC Slaine.
the site's aim is to list all recordings he has ever made.
the is unofficial, run by a fan and not backed by a marketing or
PR firm, record company, distributor or even the artist himself.
incomplete?
(here's why some releases are not in the database)
please note that for the sake of space and to prevent confusion,
if the only difference between two releases is the track order
(not track listing) or cover picture, only one, usually the first,
item is listed.
you will only find original songs and contributions listed here,
mash-ups, unofficial remixes, wack dance remixes, live bootleg or
official recordings of full concerts or single songs (including
so-called "freestyles", i.e. old verses rapped live), compilations
of previously released songs and such will not make it to this list.
how?
(how to read the database)
most sections here als self explanatory. here's an explanation
of what might first appear a bit confusing to new visitors.

copyright?
(jukebox songs, cover pictures, third party software, etc)
copyright for the jukebox songs and the cover pictures belongs to their
respective owners, usually big record companies but also to some independent
labels (if you like an artist, make sure to buy his music).
while I do claim copyright under a CC license for most of the code (XHTML,
JavaScript, CSS and PHP/SQL), portions of the site still underly other licenses.
tools used here are prototype/scriptaculous, swfobject, Image Thumbnail
Viewer, Image Cross Fade Redux, StatCounter and JW FLV Media Player.
groups?
(what are the different groups Slaine was/is involved in)
Dirty Money Syndicate
Dirty Money Syndicate or "Drugs, Money, Sex", short "DMS",
is a loose collective of artists rather than a group;
it emerged from late 80s NYHC (New York Hardcore, a kind
of punk music) groups and now includes people from various
genres and professions, similar to the famous Soul Assassins
The Shotblockers
The Shotblockers are a rap group formed around Danny Diablo
with a loose lineup of performers; part of DMS
Special Teamz
Special Teamz, short "ST", a group formed by Bostonians
Edo G (of Edo G and Da Bulldogs),
Jaysaun (of Kreators)
and
Slaine.
The Knockout Kingz
The Knockout Kingz, short "KOZ", sometimes also billed as
just The Knockoutz or Lethal Dose All Stars, were the original
group that would later become La Coka Nostra; its members were
DJ Lethal,
Slaine, Optimus and
Big Left.
make sure to check the group's
released and unreleased tracks.
La Coka Nostra
La Coka Nostra, short "LCN", emerged from the aforementioned Knockout
Kings. Danny Boy joined as a "project co-ordinator" of sorts and brought
in several new people who are no longer members today.
Ill Bill
joined shortly before Non Phixion disbanded, Optimus left because
of creative differences and
Everlast joined last.
as of 2009, Big Left is no longer an active member.
